A customizable calendar provides a complete training log where each transferred exercise file automatically creates a diary entry with all your training data. Use different reports for long-term development follow-up.

not have a magnet. On a laptop, please use headphones with dynamic
speakers. |

Note.
The F55, AXN500, AXN700, CS600, RS400 and RS800sd HR monitors will not work with the original Polar serial or the Polar USB infrared interfaces. (This is because the original Polar infrared interfaces are proprietory and not strictly IrDA compliant and the F55, AXN500, AXN700, CS600, RS400 and RS800sd HR monitors are IrDA compliant).
However the new IR-721 USB2.0 IRwave is compatible with these above models.
* The Polar IR-721 USB2.0 IRwave is NOT Compatible with the older non-IrDA compliant S610, S710 and S810 hrm's.
** A dynamic speaker is needed for Polar UpLink data transmission that
can be used with all S-series HR monitors. A dynamic speaker has a
magnet inside. Usually laptops have piezoelectronic speakers that does
not include magnet. A solution for laptops is to use headphones that
normally have dynamic speakers. Via Polar UpLink you can upload
settings from Polar Precision Performance software to a S-series HR
monitor.
*** A microphone is needed for exercise data transmission via SonicLink
from a HR monitor to Polar Precision Performance SW 4 or later.
**** A sound card is needed if you are using SonicLink data
transmission or Polar UpLink. In practice, all current sound cards are
Sound Blaster compatible.

Transfer Your Data
Different Polar products use different methods for transferring data to the Polar ProTrainer 5 software.
The
exercises in Polar AXN500, Polar AXN700, Polar RS400, Polar RS400sd,
Polar RS800, Polar RS800sd, Polar S610i, Polar S625X, Polar S710i,
Polar S720i, Polar S725, Polar S725X and Polar S810i are transferred
using an infrared connection. To transfer data you can use either an
external or internal IrDA supported infrared interface. With Polar
S610i, Polar S625X, Polar S710i, Polar S720i, Polar S725, Polar S725X
and Polar S810i you can also use Polar IR Interface for RS port.
UpLink The
UpLink connection allows you to transfer different settings made with
Polar ProTrainer 5 software to all supported Polar products (except
Polar RS800/RS800sd). The settings are transferred through the
computer's speakers or headphones. You can also make and transfer
settings to your Polar product, as well as transfer logos from Polar
web site, using the Polar UpLink tool.
SonicLink Audible
SonicLink data transmission can be used with Polar S410, Polar S510 and
Polar S520. SonicLink transfers exercises through the computer's
microphone.
Note! Transferring exercise data via SonicLink to
Polar ProTrainer 5 is only possible with products that record samples.
For example, some Polar Fitness Heart Rate Monitors have the SonicLink
feature, but they do not record samples.

 |
Training Program
Polar ProTrainer 5 software you can plan your training program. The
software allows you to plan single exercises and view the days of your
choice in your Training Diary.
If you are using a Polar RS400,
RS400sd, RS800 or RS800sd Running Computer, you can transfer your
training program to it from the software. The running computer, then,
reminds you about training sessions and guides you in your workout.
After exercising, you can download completed exercises to the software
to compare exercise targets and results, and follow your progress.
|
 |
 |
Advanced Training Diary
The software’s advanced Training Diary serves as a record of your
performance and can be saved for future reference. Your exercise
sessions are placed in the calendar, where you can easily track your
progress on a daily or weekly level, as well as plan your upcoming
weeks.
|
 |
 |
Detailed Exercise Analysis
The data from your Polar product allows the software to draw graphs on,
for example, your heart rate, speed/pace and altitude information. The
graphs help you break down and analyse your exercise performance on a
detailed level.
|
 |
 |
Customizable Long-term Follow-up
Periodical reports summarized from your exercise sessions are valuable
tools for analysis. You can choose to view the daily, weekly, monthly
or yearly summaries, or you can define the time period yourself. You
can analyze your progress in different training zones and gauge the
effect of varying training conditions (e.g. altitude) on your
performance. In addition to selected ready-made reports, you can easily
customize your own reports using variables that matter most to you and
your training.
