FAQ - LIMITED WARRANTY

This warranty gives the purchaser specific legal rights. The purchaser may also have other rights depending on the applicable law. Polar Electro Oy warrants to the original purchaser that the product sold by it is free from defects in the material and workmanship for the period of two years.

As from September 1, 2002 there is a two (2) year Polar Limited International Guarantee on all Polar products purchased from an autorised Polar dealer.

Please keep the purchase receipt from the autorised Polar dealer as proof of purchase. Proof of purchase is mandatory when claiming factory warranty.

The obligations of Polar Electro Oy under this warranty are limited to the repair and replacement of such part or parts of the unit as shall be found upon inspection to be defective in material or workmanship. Individual models may differ in parts covered under warranty. See the user's manual for details which is supplied with every new Polar heart rate monitor.

Warranty does not cover damage due to commercial use; misuse, abuse or accidents; negligence of the precautions set out in the user's manual; improper maintenance; cracked or broken receiver cases or the receiver battery or the elastic belt.

Warranty does not cover damage or consequential damage caused by service/repairs not authorised by Polar Electro Oy.

Fitness Maintenance Pty Ltd is the only authorised Polar Service Centre for Australia.

Except to the extent otherwise provided by imperative rules of the applicable law, the aforesaid limited warranty is expressly in lieu of all other conditions and warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or of fitness for particular purpose and all other Polar Electro Oy's obligations and liabilities with respect to any defect or deficiency resulting directly or indirectly from the Warranted Products, whether in contract, tort or otherwise.
