CS600 Teaching a New Sensor
Your running computer has been “taught” to work together with the Polar WearLink W.I.N.D. transmitter and s3 stride sensor to measure heart rate, speed/pace, and distance data. In other words, your running computer receives signals from your transmitter and stride sensor only, and enables disturbance-free exercise in a group.

If you purchase a new transmitter or stride sensor, they have to be introduced to the running computer. This is called teaching and takes only a few seconds.

Before entering a running event, make sure to perform the teaching process at home. This is to prevent interference due to the long-range data transmission.

Teach a new transmitter

In time mode, press Start > New WearLink found, Teach new WearLink?

Wear the transmitter and make sure that you are not near (20 m/66 ft) other Polar WearLink W.I.N.D. transmitters. In time mode, press OK. The running computer starts searching for the transmitter signal. Once the new transmitter is identified, New WearLink found, Teach new WearLink? is displayed.
  • Select YES to confirm teaching. Completed! is displayed. Start exercise recording by pressing OK.
  • Select NO to cancel teaching.

Teach a New Stride Sensor

1. Select Settings > Features > S sensor > New sensor

Make sure you are not near (20 m/66 ft) other stride sensors. The sensor should be within 1,5 meters/5 ft of the running computer.

2. Teach new sensor? is displayed.
  • Select Yes to confirm teaching. Completed! is displayed.
  • Select NO to cancel teaching. The running computer will not be able to measure speed/pace or distance data

Too Many S Sensors Nearby

If "Too many s sensors nearby" is displayed, when you start your exercise, your RS800 is within the transmission range of two or more s3 stride sensors that are saved in the RS800 Running Computer memory and both/all of them are moving.

If you need to have more than one s3 stride sensor in the RS800 Running Computer memory, and need to use them at the same time, stop moving all but one s3 stride sensor and make sure that your RS800 is locked to your s3 before starting to move the other ones. This way you make sure that you RS800 is recording signals from your own s3 stride sensor.

Select Remove all in Settings - Features - S sensor, and teach your s3 stride sensor again, if you wish to have only one sensor in the RS800 Running Computer memory.
