Before installing the new Protrainer 5 software, it is recommended that you backup your data.
Also if running Windows XP, you can also manually make a Restore Point.
This is purely a precautionary measure to protect your valuable traing data.
Backing up
exercise data manually
1. Select
Options –
Person Properties and open the Advanced
page. 2. Click the Backup Now button in the
Backup
frame.
The active person's exercise
data is saved as a back up copy of exercise data from the year 1995
onwards.
Once the Protrainer 5 software is installed it will check for the latest update from Polar.
An active internet connection is required.
Please Note:
Protrainer 5 does not support the older Polar Accurex Plus and Xtrainer Plus or Sports Tester HRM's using the Computer Interface, Interface Plus or Advantage interfaces.
Do not update your PPP3 or PPP4 softwares if you are using it to download files from these older models.
