The Polar USB 2.0 IrDA iRwave Infrared Adapter
Note. The Polar USB 2.0 IrDA IRwave Infrared Adapter is compatible with the Polar:
AXN500, AXN700, CS600, F55, RS400, RS400sd, RS800, RS800sd,
S610i, S625X, S710i, S720i, S725, S725X and S810i using the Polar Precision Performance 3/4, Protrainer 5 softwares and the Polar F55 using WebLink running under Microsoft Windows® 98SE/ME/2000/XP on IBM compatible hardware.
(not compatible with the earlier Polar S610, S710 and S810 models)
The Polar PPP3/4 and Protrainer 5 software is to be configured for the "
IrDA" communication port in the hardware settings (not USB).
The IRwave device driver must be installed from the cd included in the package, prior to initially pluging in the Polar IRwave adapter.
(Not for Microsoft Vista - see below).

Note. If installing on
Microsoft Vista,
don't use the supplied drivers on the CD.
Vista uses its own drivers. See Vista installation link.
Because the USB2.0 IR adapter does not come with its own drivers for Vista,
Polar cannot offer full Vista support for it. However most Vista users should be able to install the adapter with drivers built-in to Vista on both the 32-bit and 64-bit platforms.
